Two days of IO tastings and a cooking demo in London's finest Food Halls

IO 500mlIO not only looks undeniably sexy in the bottle, it is fast gaining recognition as the cream of extra virgin olive oils: just one taste is enough to make most people just a little ecstatic.

Why not judge for yourself: come along to an all-day tasting at Fortnum & Mason on Thursday 10th December and at Harrods on Friday 11th December. These tastings will be held from 11am in the Food Halls, and fronted by the producer himself, Victor Lopez from Vianoleo.

Two-star Great Taste Award-winning IO extra virgin olive oil from Extremadura, Spain is without doubt one of the highest quality olive oils on the market, the result of a finely tuned blending process to carefully balance a unique mix of Manzanilla Cacereña and Arbequina olive varieties.
It is very green in colour with an aroma of green apples, recently cut grass and hints of banana, almond and tomato and on the palate it is exceptionally rich and green, smooth and clean, medium bitter, spicy and a somewhat sweet oil.

In addition, Fortnum & Mason's charismatic chef Daniele Massidda will be cooking up delicious tapas with IO such as garlic and chilli prawns and brushetta with jamon serrano, showing how to make the most of its distinctive, herbacious flavours. The IO Cooking Demonstration will start at 3pm on Thursday 10th December in the Fortnum & Mason Demonstration Kitchen on the first floor.
